Colleen Robertson
MA, Registered Psychotherapist
I completed my BA Honours in Psychology at Carleton university with a specialization in social and personality psychology. After this I completed my masters at Saint Paul University in their Counselling and Spirituality program. During this time I was able to learn from the experience of my professors and supervisors who had spent years in the field of psychotherapy themselves, as well as practice at the Saint Paul Counselling and Psychotherapy centre as an intern therapist. During my last year of study, I also had the privilege to conduct a research project examining the role spirituality has in managing diabetes burnout in the lives of those with Type 1 Diabetes.

I currently have experience working with adults of all ages in areas pertaining (but not limited to): anxiety, depression, trauma, processing parental abuse, low self-esteem, grief, chronic illness, and religious trauma.

About Me
Mental health is something very near and dear to my heart. Like many these days, I have had several personal experiences with mental illness. My hope is that I can combine my educational, professional and personal understanding of mental health in order to help individuals not just survive, but thrive in their day to day lives.

When I'm not practicing psychotherapy, I often can be found playing video games with my husband, cuddling with my cats (Zelda and Elwood) or practicing my piano and ukulele skills.
